OLD FLAG RETIREMENT

An Old Flag retirement ceremony will be held on Saturday, June 13th, 2026, at the Atmore Veteran's Monument by VFW and American Legion staff. All citizens are invited and encouraged to attend.

WELCOME TO ATMORE POST 7016

Teamwork ~ Leadership ~ Commitment
As yesterday's defenders of freedom, we want to welcome today's military service members into our ranks to become part of our elite group.  Our common bond is the battlefield, whether it is service in Vietnam, the Persian Gulf, Korea, Kosovo, the war on terrorism or peace-keeping expeditionary campaigns. Your courage and sacrifice have made a difference in preserving and defending world peace.
 

OUR MISSION

That the purpose of this Corporation shall be fraternal, patriotic, historical, charitable, and educational: to preserve and strengthen comradeship among its members; to assist worthy comrades; to perpetuate the memory and history of our dead; and to assist their widows and orphans; to maintain true allegiance to the Government of the United States of America, and fidelity to its Constitution and laws; to foster true patriotism; to maintain and extend the institutions of American freedom, and to preserve and defend the United States from all her enemies.

 Hello, my name is Lloyd Albritton and I am the Commander of Atmore's VFW Post 7016. If you are here reading this it means you have discovered our post website at www.vfw7016.org where you can learn about our organization and how you can help us with our missiion to serve our fellow veterans and active duty military personnel and their families who are in distress. If you are a veteran who has served honorably and in a war on foreign soil, I invite you to join us. We need you and welcome you.  If you are a family member of a VFW eigible veteran, I invite you to join our Atmore VFW Pot 7016 Auxiliary.  If you are not eligible for VFW membership, we welcome your support.  Please consider donating to our cause by participating in our Raffles.
