As cooler temperatures begin to return with the approach of Fall, our hearts also feel lightened and refreshed and our resolve and determination to press forward in the service of our veterans who have served and those who continue to serve.  There is much to be done toward the accomplishment of our mission to serve our veterans and promote patriotism in our schools and communities.  Our nation is in peril these days and everyone is needed. There is no time for trivial contentions or disputes among our own. As Commander of Atmore's VFW Post 7016, I urge all eligible veterans to put your shoulders to the wheel and push along.  Just a little push-and-lift from each one of us makes the burden lighter for everyone.
