Reaching out into our communities is vital to our organization, developing relationships with community leaders, media, school faculty, local civic groups and other veterans service organizations can greatly assist each VFW post in achieving its mission.

 

 VFW Post 7016 works closely with our sister veterans service organization, American Legion Post 90, to provide a drop location for Atmore's citizens to drop their worn and tattered flags for proper retirement.  The drop box is provided by The American Legion at their Water Park location at South Main Street and Church Street, just behind their former post headquarters building.  From time to time collected flags are properly disposed of by burning in accordance with prescribed rituals.  These ceremonies are announced in public media,
